The Visionary!

 Edward Singleton: A Journey Through Baking
My passion for baking ignited in childhood, watching my grandma and mom transform simple ingredients into delightful treats. I remember eagerly waiting to lick the spoon as the aroma of fresh, old-fashioned sour cream pound cake filled the air, topped with my dad’s homemade vanilla ice cream. Baking was a cherished family tradition, especially during the holidays when we indulged in recipes passed down through generations.

 Early Experiences
As a teenager, my dad helped me land a job at a Danish bakery as a cleanup person. This initial role sparked my interest further and led me to join their apprenticeship program. Under the guidance of master bakers, I transitioned from licking the spoon to creating cakes, cookies, and pies from scratch.

 Expanding Opportunities
My exposure to unique recipes opened many doors for me, including opportunities to bake at private country clubs in upstate New York. Being a master baker came with its perks—most notably, being compensated fairly for my work.

 Management Roles
As I advanced in my career, opportunities in management emerged. I embraced these roles, managing everything from small family-owned bakeries to larger corporate operations.

 Looking Ahead
Today, I am excited to utilize all my skills and experience to start and manage my own bakery operation. Reflecting on my journey, I feel truly blessed to have turned my childhood curiosity into a fulfilling career.
